Can I Catch a Ride? TRANSPORT DRIVERS NEEDED

Just a few hours of your time Saturday, Sunday or Monday can help save the lives of dogs and cats rescued from high kill shelters!!

Did you know that each year 4 million dogs/cats are euthanized in the United States? How about helping to save those that are unfortunate to give them that second chance at life? You can be a part of our amazing mission by driving a transport leg and/or giving a dog a place to lay their head for the night during their long road trip. Don't think you have the money to drive? Don't let that STOP you! We have wonderful donors and rescuers that help cover those costs. In the 5 years RRW has been doing transports, we have transported over 8,000 dogs/cats to freedom... lives who got their second chance to be part of a family!!

An estimated 4 million highly adoptable animals are euthanized every year by overfilled animal control facilities or pounds. Every day rescue groups reach out to these facilities to save these animals, get them healthy, and find them safe and loving homes.

How do we help?

We provide free transport! Each weekend an army of volunteer rescue drivers deliver the animals to safety in an organized relay of vehicles from those facilities to various approved rescues, foster families and forever homes all around the country!

How does this work?

Rescue groups contact our hard working transport coordinator to sign the animals up for transport. She then maps out the logistics. The route is then distributed and the volunteers sign up for a "leg" of the route they would like to drive in their area (usually 1 to 1.5 hours). Transports are monitored by phone and can take from 1 to 3 days to complete.

Why volunteer?

Because it FEELS GOOD! Most of these animals come from neglected and abusive lives. Knowing that you helped them become members of a loving family is very rewarding.

Sounds like fun but you don't know how to start? No Problem... we can teach you!
